mystic

there have lived those
who have
been
the intimate lovers
wrapped in ecstasy
at the wounds
on His hands and feet

they have been
taken
and tasted
that He is good
have eaten of His body
and
drank His blood
exploded in union
put to death the flesh
become drunk
on His kisses
and
found themselves
full

take me
take me
take me

The Wall

Above me
clouds boiling
black
and on a hill
located in the Other
we stand together
and watch
as wind whips
our hair
and clothes

Looking down

The Wall
rises out of the valley
stretching
from eternity
built by fear
to block
the voice of the One who called to Adam
and now
cuts off inheritance
destiny
and intimacy

The sandy stone
still
and then
remembrance; of the waves of sound
you said would
be born
out from the mouth
of the one you
have taken as your bride

and so
a command is given
and the waves go out
they speak to the wall
telling it
to fall
the King is passing through
bow low
and crumble

I will take the land
my inheritance
stretching farther and
farther still

We ride down
pause
look at the ruins
of
what was built for me
the wall
that authority crumbled

Then
we fly
across the plains
on horses of new breath
toward
the mountains
